I have to agree with Hondo on that. On the other hand, the WashPost did a pretty good job of debunking Swift Boats and it didn't do JK much good. I actually e-mailed that story to a family member at the time, but people believe what they want to believe -- of course the "liberal mainstream media" is going to aid the liberal.

  2. What issue?
Ad Frank, I don't recall major contemporaneous debunking in the WaPo of the Swifties in '04. Got a link?

  4. Thanks for the link, although I think it's a pretty on-the-one-hand-on-the-other-hand treatment of the Swifties slander. However, at least in that case, the events in the rover actually happened. Rassman did fall in. Kerry did pull him out. There was something called the Vietnam War.
The stuff the WaPo enabled this week was a bunch of non-facts. Obama is NOT a muslim. He did NOT go to a madrassah.
FWIW, here's the CJR on it:

Seems like Fenian's view has the backing of at least one Post staffer.

Well, you know... Obama is a lot like Osama. Hell, he probably orchestrated 9/11, right?

    People are dumb.
