The Voice

I know there's a number of us who chime in on a weekly basis on the American Idol thread, and I'm wondering who will be watching this. The premise seems cool, and I'm cautiously optimistic.

Thoughts?

 

I'm DVRing it, but I'm not optimistic at all. Though I do like Adam Levine against all better judgment.

 

No reference to The Moody Blues? Ah, well ...

OK, I'm about 20 minutes into it. I'll watch this one, but I kinda doubt I'll stick with it.

They make some of the same mistakes Idol did early on in its run.

Waaaay too much Carson Daly. Nobody cares about Carson Daly here.

They're over the top with the dramatics.

That said, I think all four judges/coaches are charismatic. And because of the way this competition has been set up, they don't NEED to play the bad guy.

I'd give it a 5.

 

I love it.

 

I'm closer to where you are than I was in my last post. It's growing on me.

 

Yeah, it started a little slow, but by the end I was really enjoying it. Some great, great singers on that stage.
