Boots said it would be done deal by June.
    That's all I know.

If you are going to quote me, please do it correctly. I said according to my information it COULD be a done deal by June.

  5. Well, the Ellis pipeline is telling me it could NOT be a done deal by June. But this job does have the coveted Ellis Redding seal of approval.

Boy, I like how this works.

Ellis, why must you always try to be a killjoy? Neither one of us is getting the gig so what's the big deal?
At any rate, I stand by my sources.

I've heard May -- or July -- but I could be wrong.

I've heard by the 2010 World Cup, with a chance of it being after that.

The Moddy Pipeline reports they will fill this job in early- to mid- to late-2007. Or early 2008.

  10. I don'[t know, in 2008 they'll be hip deep in election coverage, and no management types will have time to interview SE candidates. Probably after the elections. Or maybe after the inauguration. :)

In all seriousness, this is going to be an interesting hire. My sources tell me there's going to be a pretty big change in the way they deliever the news, and that they may be going towards the "information center" model Big G has wrought upon us. Whoever gets this job will be charged with leading the way when he or she gets there at some point before 2012.

Yes, it will be more of a 24-hour operation. The Pilot is losing cutomers.
