The United States Of Torture

So depressing, this thread.

I can't believe there are Americans that support torture. If we torture in the name of justice, are we any better than those who torture in the name of religion?

 

Sadly, even though this is meant as a joke, this is truly what it boils down to for a lot of people regardless of party affiliation. We don't care what works as long as it makes us feel macho and feel good. Torture doesn't work, it's inhumane, it goes against everything we hope we represent as a nation, but we'll do it because it feels good to hurt people who we suspect have hurt us.
