Bush and the conservatives are geniuses -- the terrorists attack us because they hate our freedoms. Take away those freedoms and you remove the incentive for terrorists to attack. If the terrorists don't attack, we're all safer. This liberal-leaning moderate has seen the light.

No, I don't believe them. There's no goddamn good reason to do so.
Send the bastards to the Hague. Put them on trial. Then we'll know.

Suggesting that all civilian deaths in Iraq are "accidental" is delusion of the highest order.

Also, the families of the Central Americans that our death squads butchered in the 1980s and those that have suffered at the hands of dictators we've installed are laughing through their tears at this thread.

So the terrorists were simply improvising?

  8. Don't worry, RSC. That's just what...They...want...you...to...believe.

Meanwhile, back at the nonfictional (alas) Department of State:

"The top legal adviser within the US state department, who counsels the secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, on international law, has declined to rule out the use of the interrogation technique known as waterboarding even if it were applied by foreign intelligence services on US citizens. John Bellinger refused to denounce the technique, which has been condemned by human rights groups as a form of torture, during a debate on the Bush Administration’s stance on international law held by Guardian America, the Guardian’s US website. He said he would not include or exclude any technique without first considering whether it violated the convention on torture.
The inability of a senior US official to rule out such an interrogation method even in the case of it being used against Americans underlines the legal knots in which the administration has tied itself."

In other words, the chief legal adviser to an American SecState can't say if waterboarding is torture even if used AGAINST AMERICANS.
    Jesus wept.

Yeah, that's much worse than passing out smallpox-infested blankets as part of a government program to wipe out entire cultures whose soul crime was getting in the way of USA resource exploitation. Oh, that's right, it doesn't count because it happened way back 140 years ago.

Well, the sooner we remove the cancer that is liberalism, the sooner we get better.
