Could someone put these staged commitment announcements, with the manufactured "drama" of all the school hats, out of our misery?

    Please?

I'm really sorry, JD, but there's no chance that's going away anytime soon.

It is the way it is now, so fans can wet themselves over which one the kid picks.

Have you watched any of the game? Any good?

A little. I wanted to see the QB from Houston who committed to LSU (Russell Shepard). He's got plenty of talent, for sure.

Watching it right now. Lot of speed on the field.

The Barkley kid who is going to USC looks pretty sharp.

And I'll sign the petition on banning the verbal commitment crap too.

Be sure to shower after you watch, J_D. That's what I do whenever I read anything recruiting related.

Here's the best untold or seldom told story: These games pressure the kids to refrain from public commitments until the day of the game. In some cases, it has been intimated that those who declare their intentions before the sacred day shall be disinvited from the game.

Which is absolutely sickening. Especially in the Army game. It's shameful the army is involved with a group of pimps like that.

If you are a kid who wants to play in that game, verballing to Notre Dame increases your chances eleventy billion percent.
