    Nah, MacDaddy's right. You go from double to single and then back to double again if it's necessary. Which hopefully it never is.

    The answer on AP and no italics is obviously correct, but most places I've worked in the past 20 or more years convert to italics.

    And yeah, you just keep going back and forth between single and double quotes.

    you might also be surprise how many people believe it should be italicized because that's the way it is in the ap stylebook. even when i explain the italics is simply used as an example of coorect or incorrrect usage, they don't budge.
