It was not. Spielberg was not nominated that year.

    Initial guess was Tom Hanks.

Ding, ding, ding. Attenborough played John Hammond in Jurassic Park. Spielberg was nominated for E.T. the year Attenborough won the Oscar for Ghandi.

Actually, I think he was for Color Purple, but he never directed Pollack... I just assumed they had crossed paths... That's a great question though...

My turn to ask a question then:

    A Victorian operetta starring:

    1) A star of both film and Broadway
    2) A 70's rocker
    3) A 70's teen idol
    4) A legendary star of Broadway, film and television

Name the movie and each of the stars.

Foue people who've never been in my kitchen? :D

Doesn't every trivia thread need this answer at least once? I've filled the quota.

Sounds like Pirates of Penzance. And I know I'm right. Rex Smith, Linda Rondstadt, Angela Lansbury and Kevin Kline. (The last two came courtesy of Google).

Here's my question. Asian Dawn, New Provo Front, Liberte de Quebec. Name the movie.
