My brother says this is Lookin at Lucky's race to lose. Said Garcia's style perfectly fits LaL's, so whatever.

Without a Robby mount, I have no bet to make.

Garcia rides for BB quasi-regularly in Cali.

You never know. Friend of mine used to frequent a breadfast spot out there
where Garcia worked in the kitchen -- and not that long ago. He claims
the bacon always came out just right.

I'll be there Saturday -- not active press, but working the big room, downstairs.

Interesting that Pletcher has two horses, not owned by the same person or group in this race. If you're Super Saver's owner (WinStar, I think?), how pissed would be if his other mount denies you a chance at the Triple Crown?

I'm sure he's not the first trainer to do this, but it seems like a pretty big conflict of interest.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Pletcher had however many horses in the Derby, and I'm 99 percent sure not even two of them were owned by the same people. Trainers get hired, not exclusively.

I hope the Preakness goes smoother than the sixth race at Delta Downs did today.

I'm an unabashed Forde fan, so I enjoyed this:

    Great link and read.
Never been to any of the Triple Crown races and I wish I had.

As someone who has been to all three races, Forde is dead on. But here is the issue no one talks about with regards to the Preakness: someone was going to die in the next few years if it didn't change something, and then the criticism would have been fast and furious. Place was a ticking time bomb.

Thanks for the link to Forde's column, Del B. Hilarious and true. As a Wilmington, Del. boy, needless to say I've been in the Preakness infield in my youth. Indeed, I've been at Pimlico on more than a few non-Preakness days. My paternal grandparents and great-uncles from D.C. were all big horseplayers.

Different owners. If they think the rail horse has a shot, they sure as
hell have a right to run, no matter how Fat Boy might have been bloviating
    about it, Thursday afternoon.

Pat again reminds us why he's great.

Can't wait to see the lines for the "unlimited" beer. When the riot
ensues because people have to wait 30+ minutes for refills, don't say I
    didn't warn you.
