Say goodbye to a PGA Tour tournament that offers a great golf course, an interesting change of pace for the golfers and is one of Tiger Woods' least favorite events on the tour. What a shame.

The tournament has always been placed in bad spots on the schedule. Without a title sponsor, the July 5-8 event is up for grabs, although the story hints at Washington D.C. as a possible frontrunner to scramble to put an event there to replace the gap this year.

 

Why the hell would they even think about Philly/Wash DC?

Booz Allen bailed out of Avenel.

 

Booz Allen bailed because Tim Finchem was gonna move the tour stop to Sept. and they knew that the tournament would never be able to compete with college football on Saturday and the Redskins on Sunday.

 

Maybe Wlat can lead the charge to get a PGA event in DC!

 

The MILFHunter.com Wlat Open. Well, he's certainly seen plenty of drive that totaled over 300 yards. I guess the trophy would be a replica of the Insight Bowl trophy.
