I stopped subscribing to the Sporting News a couple years ago . . . there just didn't seem to be enough unique content to make it worthwhile. They've sent letters urging me to re-up, but this time they did themselves one better. They sent a free issue: THE SUPER BOWL PREVIEW ISSUE.

Wow, that'll get me to sign up. A magazine I don't want that's late.

OTD is just lucky TSN didn't send him the issue where Tim gives out his final grades for the 1994 NFL draft. [/moreboardhistory!]

He's really lucky TSN didn't send him the super special issue with the Superbat promotional cover. [/evenmoreboardhistory]

Wow, I'm glad I got 28 thou on that one, and not on the one on the Jay thread about the blump-kin.

A friend got me a subscription to TSN for my birthday last year, and I don't think I've ever even opened one. I've even made a fair amount of money writing for them, but that magazine is totally irrelevant now.

Maybe it's for next year's Super Bowl.

Given that a subscription to TSN costs about 32 cents these days, I'm thinking your friend doesn't like you very much.

You know, like the rest of us here. :D :D :D
