They should have ended the season last year. The anticpation for this season doesn't have the steam that it has in season's past, and justifiably so. I think a lot of the audience felt toyed with given the episodes and Chase's bullshit.

Despite last year's debacle, there has never been more anticipation.

I know that two years ago, Gandolfini was on a Vespa and got hit by a car.

Have the NY papers ever snapped him on the scooter?

I can't imagine it.... what a hilarious image that would be.

    "This thing of ours...it's over"

    Great piece in today's NYTimes.

“Believe me,” Tony told Phil Leotardo, lying prone and barely conscious after a heart attack. “Nobody lays on their deathbed wishing they had saved more no-show jobs.”

I'm stunned that Billy Bud makes it into the New York Times.

    Wow.

Is it correct to assume that there are spoilers in the story and those not wanting any hints as to what's going to happen shouldn't read it?

T-minus 15 minutes until it comes on in the east and I'm stuck at work. I'll just catch the west coast feed at midnight.

    Not really.

A pretty overwrought pile of reflection.

Said it last season, and sticking with it:

Tony ends up as Henry Hill: "I'm an average nobody... get to live the rest of my life like a schnook."

Either he goes into Witness Protection (sort of talked myself out of that) or the business just dries up....but he becomes irrelevant...a nobody. Kevin Finnity. Schnook.

    You woke up this morning
    Got yourself a gun,
    Mama always said you'd be
    The Chosen One.

She said: You're one in a million
You've got to burn to shine,
But you were born under a bad sign,
With a blue moon in your eyes.

    You woke up this morning
    All the love has gone,
    Your Papa never told you
    About right and wrong.

    But you're looking good, baby,
I believe you're feeling fine, (shame about it),
    Born under a bad sign
With a blue moon in your eyes.

    You woke up this morning
    The world turned upside down,
    Thing's ain't been the same
Since the Blues walked into town.

But you're one in a million
    You've got that shotgun shine.
    Born under a bad sign,
With a blue moon in your eyes.

When you woke up this morning everything you had was gone. By half past ten your head was going ding-dong.
Ringing like a bell from your head down to your toes,
like a voice telling you there was something you should
know. Last night you were flying but today you're so low
    - ain't it times like these that make you wonder if
you'll ever know the meaning of things as they appear to
the others; wives, mothers, fathers, sisters and
brothers. Don't you wish you didn't function, wish you
didn't think beyond the next paycheck and the next little
drink' Well you do so make up your mind to go on, 'cos
when you woke up this morning everything you had was gone.

When you woke up this morning,
When you woke up this morning,
When you woke up this morning,
Mama said you'd be the Chosen One.

When you woke up this morning,
When you woke up this morning,
When you woke up this morning,
    You got yourself a gun.

I can't wait 'til I get home and the replay's on...
