The Sopranos 4/8.... spoilers?

Random thoughts after watching some older episodes recently:

Tony tosses Gloria Trillo the rope that is wrapping a gift from her. She plays with it, noose-like.

How many times do we hear Time To Say Goodbye? Four maybe?

I bet that that may be the sign-off music.

I have a feeling the Russian comes back and whacks Paulie Walnuts.

The old ones have been running on A & E the last two months or so. They run Wednesdays from 9-11:30 and then replay again on Monday.

I have to say that, with the exception of Tony and Carm, Richie Aprile was the best acted character on the show. How did David Proval not even get nominated for an Emmy?

Proval was incredible.

I would put Annabella Sciorra in there, too, perhaps a sliver behind Richie.

I used to love this show. Still enjoy it. But I hate the year wait between seasons every now and then.

I love the fact that Chase initially wanted Proval to play the role of Tony, but ultimately decided against it because Proval simply scared the shit out of him.

That's why there is The Wire, which I dare say at the expense of my NJ heritage, is probably better than The Sopranos. Could you imagine the crossover? I can see it now: Omar and Vito passed out in the same bed together, with an empty condom wrapper on the night-stand.

When he played Toby's rabbi on The West Wing around the same time that he was Richie, it freaked me out.
