I'm sure City's oil barons will grease the right palms at UEFA, so I expect them to get Porto or Ajax.

That they did. All four EPL teams won outright their away game in the home and homes in the round of 16. Hard to believe one of them won't wind up winning it all.

    My money's on Juventus.

UEFA will draw the quarterfinals and semifinals simultaneously on Friday ā€” basically setting the Elite Eight bracket. They could draw all four EPL teams on the same side of the bracket, but the odds of that are one in 256.

The odds are there will be one all EPL matchup, and the two clubs won't much like it, especially if it's Man City-Liverpool.

Meh. They met in the final eight last year.

They were not in quite such a hot EPL title race last year.

    Ajax v. Juve
    Liverpool v. Porto
    Spurs v. City
    United v. Barca

Not great as a United fan.

In the quarters, whoever you get is gonna be tough. As a Spurs fan, I'd rather have had any of the four Euro sides for the added glamor, and either of the two English sides besides City, but there's no day at the beach up there for anyone. I'm sure Dortmund thought they were sitting pretty in the round of 16 playing Spurs away with no Kane nor Alli, and look what happened. James Milner of Liverpool said yesterday, "I'd rather not play any of those teams, to be honest." About the size of it.

Well damn, 3 out of 4. Scouse have a virtual cakewalk to the final.

You think Barca in the semis is a cakewalk?
