I mentioned it on the Podcasts thread, but 2 episodes in, the Brian Phillips podcast 22 Goals is fantastic. Each episode tells the story about an iconic goal (or 2) at a mens World Cup.

    Present!

Actually, I thought we’d get turned over as Chelsea has wingbacks who can punish our 4-2-2-2 and the questionable defensive abilities of our fullbacks (I thought Reece James would devour us), but they didn’t know what to do with our pressing.

Then they started sulking, Elland Road (best atmosphere in England when it’s rocking) was fucking buzzing, and it was a lot of fun for me from there.

Leeds didn’t take a single point off the ESL6 last year, we rarely get clean sheets, and Chelsea is an odious nouveaux riche club with a sizable amount of dickhead supporters, so this was quite orgasmic.

Having Americans on my club lead the way (Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams were both outstanding) after spending a large portion of the 16-year exile from the Prem completely on radio silence in terms of watching matches is also personally satisfying.

Thomas Tuchel boo-hooing afterwards about having to bus to Leeds (the coaching staff, not the players) and generally being a whining twat? Go back to your EMF cover band, you big dope.

Losing to a relegation zone squad like that, tsk-tsk.
