Crouch agrees to a contract, BTW.

USA is the clubhouse leader, if for no other reason than the weak dollar. Makes it much cheaper for all those Euro-toting fans to spend a month following their teams.

(And is it wrong for me to be rooting for the bottom to fall out in SA? I'm not talking deaths and destruction, but just enough to cause FIFA to move it to the USA.)

Good 'ol 'Arry's making Pompey a team to be reckoned with.

I missed your post earlier, Inky. From the link, it sounds like the president of Monaco has American links, so that certainly could be interesting.

Makes me glad I downloaded a ringtone of the terraces chanting "Play up, Pompey. Pompey, play up." It makes a nice alternative to the Celtic version of YNWL.

Celtic? Egads. Come Scouser or don't come at all.

    Grant Wahl on Altidore:

He also suggests that Landon Donovan will not be one of the U.S.'s three over age players at the Olympics.

Where? I've been trying to do that for months, but I can only ever find them on British sites, and they won't download to American phones.

Since I've got an iPhone, I was able to do it via iTunes.

Oh, well aren't you fancy? What about the rest of us, who can't afford to suckle off Steve Jobs' teat, huh? What are we to do?

    Um...sorry. I'll go now.
