    This movie is approaching Joe vs. the Volcano in terms of so bad I can't not watch.

    Still not sure what was worse -- Michael O'Keefe's baseball playing, Rebecca Demornay's singing or Loudon Wainwright's acting.... oh, or Neil Simon's script.

    and I watch it every damn time it's on.

    I always liked when they showed him hitting his record-breaking homer, the way the ball came off his bat, it couldn't have been anything more than a single up the middle.

    OK. I was worried there for a bit.

    It's terrible. Up there with Everybody's All-American for sports movie snoozefests despite good casts and a decent budget.

    So many of Atlanta's great clubs/hotspots are gone. The Limelight (featured in our movie of discussion, IIRC, though it might have been Elan). American Pie on Roswell Road. Lulu's Bait Shack. The Gold Club.
    Getting dusty in here again, dammit.
