That list, I think, is suggestions. You can vote for others if you'd like, I think.

    254-156
    3.90 ERA
    2,478 strikeouts
World Series winner with 10 shutout innings in Game 7.

    Pretty fucking good to me.

    Pretty good? Perhaps.

    Hall of Famer? No.

Forgot the "f-word" in front of good :D

I didn't read the whole Morris debate. What was the outcome?

Sorry, but a 3.90 ERA is not pretty good. In fact, it's barely above league average.

Does the fact he pitched in Tiger Stadium have any bearing on his ERA?

No. Even when park factors are weighed in, he's barely above league average.

Considering some of the other pitchers already on the ballot, I think David Cone at least belongs in the discussion and on the list (though I would not vote for him).

What about Bret Saberhagen? Not saying I'd vote for him, but...

Did Saberhagen or Cone get to 200 wins? I can't remember.

Saberhagen can get into the Hall as the guy who cleans the bathrooms. I hear he's good at spraying bleach around.

I think Bob Welch was better than both those guys. Wasn't he the closest guy since McLain to 30 wins (27 in 1989, IIRC).
