Was just going to point this out. I know my stepmother, for one, became a huge Damon/Red Sox fan during the 2004 playoffs. I'm sure she wasn't on the only one.

Awesome. Reminds me of an old joke by George Wallace (the comedian, not the governor), back when the Braves were terrible:

"I was at a Braves game the other day and I thought I had mistakenly stumbled into a Billy Graham revival. Everyone kept saying 'JESUS CHRIST!!!'"

George Wallace is one funny guy. I know this is straying a bit but it reminds me of a Chris Rock joke. "There are a lot of white guys here this evening. That's good. But I'm willing to bet that none of y'all would want to trade places with me. And I'm rich!!!"

Anyway, back on topic. Manny says this is it for him in Dodgerland.

Apparently Bobby Kielty is trying to do a reverse-Ankiel and trying to reinvent himself as a pitcher.

He should be reinventing himself as a former mediocre major league player.

He's a hero in Boston for two good postseason games.

He's reported to have a decent slider. Can't be any worse than Nelson Figueroa.

Kielty would be perfect for the Mets' 2010 shit show.

Dodgers under 85 seems like a lock to me. Ditto Braves at 85.5

I'm with you there. I think they will implode by May 31.

I am not a baseball guy but have just found out that I will be attending some spring training games at Space Coast Stadium, home of the Manatees. It should be the home of Youpi of Les Expos but I digress.

Are there certain players I should be watching for on the Nationals so that I can say that I saw them? The internet is telling me that this new young pitcher they got might be great, anyone else?

How is the ambience inside the stadium, it looks pretty boring from the outside.
