I just caught the end of it on TBS. Hard to believe the movie is 20 years old.
This may sound silly, but sometimes I wonder about this: The movie takes place about 10 years from now. Given the growth of reality TV and the direction our government and society in general seem to be headed, could that movie be a pretty accurate picture of what our society might be like in a few years?

That was six years ago. I don't think we're quite there yet.

"Here lies Sub-Zero ... now, just plain zero."

Richard Dawson was great in his role as the game-show host (duh).

10 years? Hell, take the ultimate fighting guys, Simon Cowell and the detainees at gitmo and you can start tomorrow.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open. If I hear Rush, Savage, Jerry Doyle, Drudge or anybody else talking about the same idea, I'll let you know so you can contact your lawyers.

On that note, Blade Runner is only 12 years away.

What about Rollerball? Not the remake with Chris Klien and LL Cool J, the original one with James Caan and John Houseman.
