The Rockets have won 19 in a row. Why don't you care?

For me, the streak is a "huh, that's cool" moment.

A 16-game winning streak when the playoffs begin? Far more impressive.

Because they aren't ahead of the pack, they have no history with this squad of any success and they could possibly miss the playoffs (although that's looking like a longer shot).

Not quite sure what Boom means by "19 in a row in todays game is discounted"

Um, it led the 11 p.m. Sportscenter last night.

I couldn't name three players on the Rockets. Wouldn't want it any other way.

  5. The NBA is in season?

    I hadn't noticed.

Wow...you people call yourselves journalists? Hell, I hate American Idol but I see no need to go onto the Idol thread and talk about how irrelevant it is.

And since it was brought up...

    Alston, Rafer
    Battier, Shane
    Brooks, Aaron
    Francis, Steve
    Harris, Mike
    Hayes, Chuck
    Head, Luther
    Jackson, Bobby
    Landry, Carl
    McGrady, Tracy
    Ming, Yao
    Mutombo, Dikembe
    Novak, Steve
    Scola, Luis
    Williams, Justin

Don't like the Rockets or the NBA? Then continue not to watch. But there's little interest in what drives your disinterest.

    Shit.

That Olajuwon guy could amount to something.

Alston, Battier, Francis, Jackson, Yao and McGrady aren't exactly unknowns in the NBA. Of course, if you don't pay attention to the NBA, then why comment on why it's irrelevant?

Mizzou said it would be leading SportsCenter every night if it were the Lakers or Knicks, without realizing that it led SC last night, pretty much as the game ended.
