    I wonder if this will turn out to be genius? Will be people be too worried about looking cheap and actually pay more than they would have otherwise? I could see social pressure turning this into something very lucrative.

    Or people will just say fuck it, not pay anything and the guy will be out of business by Sunday night.

    Well, they've been open since October 2006, bigpern. I doubt they'll be closing on Sunday.

    There's a restaurant in Montreal that's been doing this and I think there are places in Europe as well.

    I read another piece in another paper on the same thing. Interestingly enough, some restaurants claim that they are even or ahead because people don't want to stiff the owners.

    Also, booze isn't included in the deal
     
  6. Success definitely depends on location. Open one of these in my area and it would be out of business by nightfall.
