The Islanders have gotta get the members of Night Ranger on the horn.

Album proceeds go to the Islanders.

I'd say Atlanta as it is ripe for sport.

Portland will get the NHL before Seattle does.

There's an ownership group in Seattle that wants the game that the NHL has already had many discussions with. Paul Allen doesn't want it in his building in Portland. I'm sure they could play at Key Arena until a new building is built.

I hear Toronto would like an NHL team.

But that means they wouldn't be interested in the Isles. ;D

So Seattle taxpayers would build a new arena for an NHL team but not for the Sonics? A team that was supported and loved, you need a reality check. Please name this ownership group, I imagine it is the same one that is always on the verge of buying the Coyotes. Not happening!

I've actually been curious about Houston for a while. I wonder if Bettman would be able to talk Les Alexander back into wanting another team -- had him sold on the Oilers in 1998 before it fell apart at the last minute, wonder if he would be interested in the Islanders or Panthers. Houston would be a good fit for a team, instant rivalry with Dallas, pretty new building, a growing hockey market in Texas, to me it makes more sense than a lot of places.

On paper Houston looks like a good fit because the Stars have done so well in Dallas. But Houston & Dallas are entirely different cities. I have a hard time seeing the NHL working on the Gulf Coast.

How well are the Aeros supported?
