With his precarious standing with the gay vote, no way Obama should have gone anywhere near the Boy Scouts event.

    Nor should he.

He met with some Boy Scouts in the Oval a couple of weeks back. Hell - if he went to NetRoots I don't think he would have had many problems with the left for a few months.
He's trying very hard (probably too hard) not to offend anyone. That Doug Schoen/Caddell column in the WSJ was like walking through a fun house - the logic was so twisted.

Politicians go where the people are. It's a job requirement. Lest we forget, women are the number one primo voting bloc in the Democratic party coalition and no other group comes close.

Someone should really piss off the FoxNews people by saying,

"Like GW Bush and Clinton, Obama will visit Jamboree in his second term."

Very noteworthy, especially considering the fact that most presidents are immune from such behavior on the part of their political opponents.

    "The View" has an audience?

I kid. Mostly. I think the show is awful and should just go away.

How is this allowed within the realm of "political chat" and the in-laws of Chelsea Clinton not?

    Leave the wining to Starman.

Yeah. We love fawning with the red-headed witch who is suddenly a CNN political talk show host, but forget that the Clintons, through their daughter, are merging with a family of a felon.

and again..the news is blocked as a thread.

    Cost of Chelsea's wedding: $2.5M
Cost of Jenna Bush's wedding: $100,000.

And of course, the father-in-law of the bride is a convicted felon.

But it's classy to block the news except when it's the Messiah on the View with all his left-wing buddies?

Please explain the story everyone is missing there.

Chelsea Clinton, who has never run for political office in her life or been a public person, is marrying a man who has never run for political office in his life nor has been a public person. His father is in federal prison. It's true.

What does that have to do with Hillary and Bill? At all? What story is being missed? The stories I've read mention who his parents are, and what his dad did. If there are further dots to connect that the mainstream media is missing, please enlighten all of us. Otherwise, two adults are getting married. What's the controversy?

And, to head off the comparison at the pass, no one paraded Chelsea's fiancee around on stage at the DNC.
