    I hope the R&A gets clever with some pairings......like putting Zach Johnson with Dustin Johnson and Beef Johnston......you've also got 4 players with the last name of Kim.......

    (Just like 95 percent of British Open golfers not named Zach Johnson)

    Surprises me that Bubba is playing in it though.
    Zach has always said this is his 5th Major of the year.

    The Deere is a huge deal for Zach. I think he's on the board of the tournament and is a heavy recruiter.

    Spieth played in it in 2015 after winning the Masters and U.S. Open -- and he was given some grief, that he should fly over to prepare for the Open instead because of his shot at the Grand Slam.

    So he wins the Deere, then goes over and misses the playoff by inches after nearly chipping in on 18 at St. Andrews.

    He's skipping this week -- probably to work on his club throwing when he holes out of a bunker in a playoff.

    And I love the Open -- mainly because I'm an early riser and love turning on sports across the Pond while it's still dark. And even better with Golf Channel/NBC handling it.

    Loved it when WWL had it.
    I have a hatred for Johnny Miller that almost borders on irrational.
    Just my .02
    Love Hicks, Tirico, Koch, Mr. Michelob and Jake. Just not John.
    WWL with Tirico, SVP, Strange, Faldo, Zinger, Kratzert, North, BRB, and
    Alliss...With The Piano Bastard Rinaldi doing interviews.......I do miss it.

    Did you know that Miller shot 63 at Oakmont? He rarely talks about it.

    Yeah, it's not the British Open until you get a few minutes of Alliss. Wonder if NBC might sneak him on.
