I didn't see one and all apologies if it's a double.

One of my favorite tournaments because I can watch most of the proceedings before I head to work.

Paul McGinley leading the packe at -5 but it's a nice leadboard mixed in with some cult heros (Rich Beem at -3 and Daly at -2 through 7) and some of the regulars (Stewart Cink -2, Goosen, -1). Tiger's in the clubhouse at -2 and should've had the birdie on 18.

Six of the top 11 are Americans which is a little surprising to me.

VICTORY!!! :) I'll also edit the headline since I wasn't sure if one existed already.

Would absolutely love to see Daly do well this week.

As big of a train-wreck as he is off the course, on the course he is ridiculously talented.

He's also a raging asshole. So I will not be pulling for him to do well.

Speak of the devil, Daly takes the lead with an Eagle on <s>14</s> 11. Now -5.

And Daly promptly makes double to give those two shots back.

And you get the feeling that he might not make it into the clubhouse in the black numbers.

Looks like a good leaderboard after the first round. This is shaping up for a solid Championship.

One thing I like, unlike '99, the track is fair. I know Sergio won't continue on this pace, but I'd like to see the winning score around -5.

And with a double and a triple on the back nine, Daly finishes 3-over.

8-over his last seven holes. Nice course management. Sure he's looking for a Hooters in Carnoustie right about now.
