In brief: Friends has become so popular in China that they are making a miniseries based on the show. They even got Danny Wilde of The Rembrants to do a theme song. The best part is the show will be called Planet Homebuddies. The show will focus on six middle-class Chinese friends, oxymoron unintended.

Dick Whitman and Double Down will be able to watch this show online, reportedly.

 

I wonder if they'll one day get in trouble for not having enough white people in the show.

I have been watching some reruns on Nick lately. Friends isn't nearly as bad as the post-show retrospectives and opinions make it out to be. The rare show that lost it for a while but then got it back.

 

Will the Chinese version keep the studio extra cold?

We watch an episode every night these days before bed on Nick at Night.

I'm going to start having to take notes. There is laugh-out-loud, smart comedy in it. A lot of it, in fact.

 

After I found out which show you were referring to, I found the thread title rather satisfying.

 

I'm with DW on this one. Friends is a great show and when women find out you enjoy it, then it tends to pay dividends.

I wasn't feeling too bad about watching Friends each night before bed. But now I'm following in the footsteps of LTL and Dick Whitman? What is wrong with me?
