The on-line only newspaper begins

    I'd rather have a print out from the Web than a word document.

    I'm just a small-town SE, hardly an authority, but I've sent them and I've received them. I will say it can be nice to get a clip or two out of the paper, just to give an idea what that paper is like. If the design is nice and clean it can say good things about the paper, and the people that work there, in general. Of course if you work at a big paper people already know what your paper is like.

    I'd vote no, generally speaking.

    If you have no choice -- that is, if the article only appeared on the Web -- then I think it's fine, as long as the presentation is professional.
