Five in sports. Not sure about the rest of the newsroom. Third round of staff reductions since September 2008. Story says the company now has 690 total employees. Pretty sure it was close to 1,300 when I was there.

Don't you just love how they follow the wailing with shit about how they continue to experience growth in many areas of revenue and how they'll continue to provide the same service? That's bullshit. It's why people have the head busts like we've seen talked about here this week. It's people stretched to the max.

Note too that they never invite comment or reader reaction on such stories.
