They're so intent on keeping the informal approach that they stumble more than any great comedy, ever.
And the stumbles are coming a lot more frequently of late.
This one was probably the worst episode of the series to date.

For a premiere, it was disappointing, but there were some laughable moments. It was also typical episode for The Office, except I missed the usual Jim vs. Dwight fued. I thought the opening was silly and unfunny.

Agreed. Forced and awkward. The opening was terrible. It took dumb to a whole new level.

This episode could have been called "Stanley's Affair" and focused on that and been a lot better.

I thought it was the best episode of The Office I've seen in a long, long time ... and I consider myself a fan.

In the confusion, didn't one of them answer him? Sounded like they said "Dr. Williams" or something like that.

    I thought the same.

I'm not sure what the people who thought it was horrible or disappointing were expecting.

I think the line was "don't vaccinate it," and it sounded like Ryan.

Fantastic premiere. Kelly killed as she always does and Kevin's line about actually being two people — with a smaller person inside controlling the bigger on — was fantastic.

Something funny. Like the parts about Andy thinking he was gay. THAT WAS funny.

    "Michael, am I gay?"

This thread reminds me of a conversation I had recently about the movie "Knocked Up." We reached the consensus that it was a very medicore film, then proceeded to kill about half an hour throwing out funny lines from the movie and laughing about them.
