    boxing was a gentleman's sport? Was that when the fights were illegal and held on docks and in out-of-the-way fields and everyone ran off when the authorities showed up, or when the mob controlled it, or when Don King controlled it?
    But yeah, still miles more civilized than MMA. With every other sport you get your blockhead drunk "Yeah, kick his ass" type fan mixed in with the fan who is savvy about the tactics and can carry on a conversation with you. In MMA, it's only the former.
