I was just recalling some of the great plays I saw as a child, and many of them were from Ozzie Smith. I went to Youtube and saw one of his flips while heading onto the field. I had forgotten about them. It was a refreshing reminder of another era in baseball.

Do you think baseball still has memorable characters? It seems like we've lost a lot of the great ones, including TV and radio personalities.

Who were the memorable characters for you? And who compares today?

Great characters? There's a great one playing LF for the Giants right now. Dude says he won't give his stuff to the Hall.

First pro game I ever went to...I was 7 years old at Busch Stadium, Cardinals vs. Pirates. I remember thinking it was so awesome how he ran out on the field.
