If you want to reopen the New Yorker archives, as well as get a subscription, I just saw this deal via Facebook -- $5 for a 12-month subscription. Might as well get the print + digital + archives subscription, I said. It would be wasting money not to sign up:

I am a few weeks into my trial sub to the New Yorker, and I ain't gonna make it. I just don't have time to read through an issue before the nest two show up in my mailbox. Some great writing, no doubt, in spite of the wacko lefty slant but just too many words! Then again, I also started a trial sub for home delivery of the NY Times, and that takes a bigly amount of reading time each day, too.
