    Awesomeness! Thanks for tracking that down. I had forgotten that the "All-Drug Olympics" were part of that one. That's why I remember the Gumbel joke. I taped that SNL when they reran it specifically because of the "All-Drug Olympics."

    Bryant Gumbel did a capable job hosting the NBC NFL pregame show back in the 80s, but he certainly is not a play-by-play announcer. It doesn't even appear he is trying to do play-by-play. It seems like he is doing conversation while there is a picture of the game going on.
