    I don't. Reading "The Recovery: Intoxication and Its Aftermath" by Leslie Jamison, a memoir of her own struggles with addiction intertwined with a history of how we've treated addiction in this country. It's been pretty clear we've treated addiction as a disease for whites and as a crime for blacks. BTW, she's white and admits she danced between the raindrops.
