    I've seen four.

Neuschwannstein, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Sydney Opera House.

Angelina Jolie's lips should be on there somewhere.

There's a lot of impressive things on the list of possibilities, but few of them are wonderous.

1 Acropolis, Athens, Greece — Impressive but not wonderous. The engineering and building techniques were well known at the time.

2 Alhambra, Granada, Spain — See above

3 Angkor Wat temple, Cambodia — Worth considering.

4 Chichen Itza Aztec site, Yucatan, Mexico — Wonderous.

5 Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil — Impressive but not wonderous.

6 Colosseum, Rome — Impressive but not wonderous.

7 Easter Island Statues, Chile — Another strong contender.

8 Eiffel Tower, Paris — Pretty cool but not wonderous.

9 Great Wall, China — More impressive than wonderous, but I'd vote for it.

10 Hagia Sophia church, Istanbul, Turkey — Beautiful and impressive but not wonderous.

11 Kyomizu Temple, Kyoto, Japan — See above.

    12 Kremlin/St.Basil's, Moscow — See above.

13 Machu Picchu, Peru — Very much a wonder.

14 Neuschwanstein Castle, Fussen, Germany — Beautiful and impressive but not a wonder.

15 Petra ancient city, Jordan — Might qualify, might not. I think I'd vote for it, though.

16 Pyramids of Giza, Egypt — No brainer. The definition of a wonder.

17 Statue of Liberty, New York — Very cool. I love it. Doesn't belong here.

18 Stonehenge, Amesbury, United Kingdom — Not necessarilly more wonderous than other neolithic sites. Why Stonehenge and not the temples on Malta? Well, Stonehenge is the most famous neolothic landmark, so it gets on as a representative of other such sites.

19 Sydney Opera House, Australia — Cool looking building. Doesn't belong on this list.

20 Taj Mahal, Agra, India — Impressive and beautiful but not a wonder.

21 Timbuktu city, Mali — Cool, mysterious, historically romantic, but not wonderous.

Tenochtitlan should be on the list. Truly wonderous.

Please. Pussy, in all its womanly glory, is the first wonder of the world. The rest is just icing on the cake.

    Also for consideration:
The underwater ruins at Yonagumi, although there's serious doubt if they are actual man-made ruins. Still very interesting.
And the ruins of Nan Madol on Pohnpei.

And that place where they found the Holy Grail in the third Indiana Jones movie.

It's on the list -- the one in Jordan.

I've never watched the third Indiana Jones movie, but I've seen bits and pieces.
Doesn't it culminate in a mockup of Petra?
