How many college kids do you know have access to that type of money?

Billy Packer just soiled his undies and blamed a student checking credentials.

At Duke? Probably at least a thousand.

Probably not a lot. Maybe Mitt Romney's kids and a handful of others. But simply blowing a wad on jewelry doesn't mean he accepted anything illegal.

I can't fathom spending that kind of money on jewelry, though.

No chance Duke get hits with anything major. Probably a reduction in text messages. Of course, I hope I'm wrong.

I swear to god, if they get nailed for Lance Fucking Thomas, I will be so pissed.

I wouldn't pay $30K for Lance Thomas. Duke shouldn't either.

That's where the Duke hoops players take most of their classes anyway, so it makes sense.

Yeah ... a Duke pysch major from Whippany, N.J., is going to get $67 grand in credit.

Why not? Do pysch majors not come from wealthy families? This one may not, but who cares. If the NCAA can get Puke, that would be great.

Since when does that matter to the NCAA? This sounds like an obvious case of a lack of institutional control and the school deserves to have all its wins since 1962 vacated.

As a college student, I did - The limit on my credit card was $40,000. This was in 2006, and I came from a single-parent home, and I didn't have a job.
