Fred Taylor is a pretty good call.

Good call, but there are probably dozens of linemen who are as instrumental to their team who are way more underappreciated.

There were dozens of fans at Alltel Stadium every week who appreciated Taylor plenty. :D

Taylor is one of those backs like Eddie George, Corey Dillon, Ahman Green, Shaun Alexander, Warrick Dunn, Ricky Watters, who were great, but not great enough to make it to Canton.

Thank God. For a minute there I thought this was another thread from Spanky about Derek Jeter.

Agree that Taylor doesn't deserve Canton. There wasn't anything about him that was dynamic enough. But he has more rushing yards than any of the guys you mentioned. The only one on par with him that you mentioned is Corey Dillon. Eddie George was great, but broke down. I think a lot of people would be surprised that Taylor is in the top 15 all time in rushing yards, with names around him like John Riggins and Thurman Thomas.

McNabb is on the opposite list.

Taylor is a pretty good pick. 15th all time in rushing yards with a very solid 4.6 ypc. In terms of sheer talent he is one of the best in this generation in my opinion. Give him the essentially two years he missed in his prime and he is probably top 5 in rushing yards. Not a Hall of Famer but he is as close as it gets.
