The moon

    By the way, the idea of a great big moon on the horizon is an optical illusion. It's the same size as it is in mid-air. It only looks bigger because you have a frame of reference with objects on the horizon. The atmosphere does NOT have a magnifying effect.

    You know how sometimes you see a word a bunch and it starts looking strange to you, like, Can that possibly be a word? Is that how it's spelled? Well, I'm getting that feeling reading this thread about "moon." What a strange word for such a big thing.

    That girl in the passenger set (in the UK, it's on the left) is probably 55 now.

    Which is why I understand why some '80s MTV watchers are depressed.
