    I managed to go to what may have been the only high school in the US that didn't have homecoming OR prom (they were trying to get prom started about the time I escapedgraduated, but I refused to have anything to do with in when some of the class officers wanted it to be a jeans dance). Of course, since I didn't play football in the heart of FNL country, there weren't too many girls willing to risk their social reputations.

    My best memories about high school dating all came after hs, but before college. Does that count? Because for a little while that summer I was in heaven, what with something like three dates with three different women over two days for a bit. Prior to that, dating sucked haha.

    Of the two or so dates I had through high school AND college, I wouldn't do either of them again. However, there was this señorita I liked a lot and I would have actually told her if given the chance.

    OK, sorry it's taken so long to dredge this back up, but I've been busy.

    I'm on my way to dinner, but here's tonight's question. I'll weigh in when I get back.

    If you had to describe your idea of the perfect mate, how would you do it?

    Any female who talks to me for any reason at all is way beyond any reasonable expectation of perfect I could have. So I abstain. As it were.

    I think my perfect mate is probably somebody's who's the exact opposite of what I'm attracted to and what I attract. Therefore I wind up alone, but always trying.

    (and I went to all the big high school dances, with dates even!)

    Great. Thanks for playing. It said perfect mate, not someone who you know for a fact exists.

    But please, keep posting on a thread for no good reason. It brings a lot to the board.

    And this is why IJAG is my ideal woman.

    That's a really sad statement for you, Zeke.

    That being said, my ideal mate is someone who:

    * makes me laugh
    * makes me feel amazing, even on my worst days
    * knows me inside and out, and loves me anyway
    * doesn't try to change me, but doesn't shy away from telling me to grow up or shut up
    * has amazing legs
    * has eyes that see into my soul
    * gives good backrubs
    * lets me pick movies to watch, and watches them with an open mind
    * would super-clean his house for me, even though he's not normally neat
    * would look past the fact my place isn't super-clean for him
    * loves me completely
