Former Miracle Met in trouble for chasing a younger woman (she's 57):

That was a fucked up story.
It always bothers me when divorce shit like this in the papers, because too often it is one side spewing shit and the other not being quoted.
If you are getting a divorce, you are going to say anything and everything to burn the other person.

The Many Loves of Art Shamsky would be a good name for a garage band, at least in the tri-state area.

The ex-wife is 47. So isn't the 57 year old really the older woman?

And what is that stuff they say about a woman scorned? Damn.

Seems like a story for the tabs as opposed to the Journal News. Not something that Tom Whelan or Guido Cribari would have written about.

Good point, Boom. In fact, why does anybody care about this? It's hardly the first time it has happened.

(Besides, I knew I liked Art when I knew him back in the 70s and 80s).

Unless, maybe this was all misinterpreted and it was really about Robert Barone's dog, who he named "Shamsky," after his favorite player. (I know, I watch too much TV).

Yuck. I stopped reading halfway through. This story has no business being in a respectable newspaper. Nobody cares about Art Shamsky's personal life.

Surely you jest, casty. There's an entire industry built on stories like this. There are always enough people who want to read them.

For this paper it seems out of context.

    Damn.
Remind me not to communicate with my girlfriend by e-mail.
She wants nuts on a platter here. I think she's going to get them.
