    If he was there smiling and nodding the entire time or if he had a large part in the decision making, I think the reason why people do not like his place is history is that what was put forward in the 1980s was a band aid fix for our problems that we are really paying for in the 2010s.

    Getting into bed with the Middle East was a terrible call. The war on drugs... The war on education... Trickle down economics...

    If any of these were good calls at the time, they opened the door for profit mongers to have their way, which is killing this country today.

    And any good idea he had, gets twisted. Like gun control - Did Reagan support an assault-weapons ban?
