You just know somewhere in the world there's an REM cover bad called Driver 8 (my freshman year at Mizzou some guy had Driver 8 as his license plate and I thought that was the coolest thing ever).

I always thought "Exhuming My Car Keys" would be a good bar band name.

    Oh, where to start?

"Squonk" obviously ... one former colleague who knew I liked the group asked me about this one once. She loved the track. Small wonder we got along famously even though we were different departments and independent of one another.

Names of Genesis tribute bands (abridged ... no telling what will get missed)
    "Supper's Ready"
    "Slippermen"
    "Trespass"
    "The Musical Box"

    Other worthy candidates:
    "Los Endos"
    "Return of the Giant Hogweed"
    "Can-Utility and the Coastliners"
    "Eleventh Earl of Mar"
    "The Silent Sun"
    "Seven Stones"
    "Watcher of the Skies"
    "Me and Sarah Jane"
    "Dodo/Lurker"
    "Home By The Sea"
    "Domino"
    "Land Of Confusion"
    "The Brazilian"
    "Do The Neurotic"
    "Turn It On Again"
    "Cul-De-Sac"
    "One for the Vine"
    "Dance On A Volcano"

My buddy's wife is the queen of misunderstood lyrics. She could front a Steve Miller tribute called Big Old Jed and the Lineups and a CCR tribute called There's A Bathroom on the Right.

    Deadheads, I take it?

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a Grateful Dead cover band out there somewhere called Uncle John's Band.
