That Mayfair, I always thought, was a hell of a driver.
Much better than that Mayfield guy.

    Good God, yes.

Although nothing beats the 1A designer who didn't understand why I made such a big deal about her above-the-masthead cutout of the Georgia qb with the backwards "G" on his helmet. She had flopped the picture because it "didn't look right" going the other direction.

    West Coast deadline?
The Lean Dean papers go to press at 10p.m.
We run yesterday's scores tomorrow, plus all the A1 refers and top drawers are written over on the News side. The first time anyone from sports sees it is in their morning paper....

The stupidest people on earth, bar none, have to be Singleton's advertisers. And God help us, you know some of them are asking to have their ads in the sports section.

Read this for an idea about at least LANG advertising.

    Attention LBP-T front-page designer:

The Dodgers play the Marlins again today. Not the Mariners.

First pitch is at 9:10 a.m. your time. You literally have all day to work the bugs out. Will this be enough time for you?

Okay, they aren't even trying, now.

On the front page of today's Press-Telegram sports page, they got the score wrong from Saturday's Angel-Dodger game. And the wrong team winning. And the wrong day of the week, in the second paragraph.

The Press-Telegram has the Angels winning, 4-2 on Sunday. For the record, the Dodgers won, 6-3 on Saturday.

How do you know the Angels won't win 4-2 today? :D

Is LANG (or maybe it should be called LAME), doing production at multiple locations? I remember some plan to do shared news pages in one newsroom, sports pages in another, etc.
