Entire team (players, coaches, trainers, the whole sha-bang) given parking tickets while on road trip to Louisiana-Lafayette. One even got a boot.

Nothing more fun than ripping the parking police in the student newspaper.

 

You mean the whole team caravaned down there? They didn't even fly or, knowing their finances, took a Greyhound bus?

(I answered my own question with "knowing their finances.")

 

No, it was in their own lot back on campus. They had exemption permits, and half an hour after they expired, their own parking department ticketed all of them.

 

That's not the student paper, is it?

 

No, the graf says it was a half-hour after they left..."Tickets issued, according to time stamps, less than a half-an-hour after the team left Friday afternoon."

 

My bad, I misread. Either way, it wasn't because they caravanned down to Louisiana, it was because of their own shitty partking staff.

 

I'm certainly thinking some sort of Parking Department Olympics would be in order.
Events could entail, but not limited to: Stealth ticketing; "Sure, you're double-parked"; Stacked ticket high jump.

 

Wow, Ohio U's cops suck.

 

After having an ordeal of my own with the bleeding assholes in the OU Parking Services department two weeks before graduation a few years ago, I can't say I'm surprised by this.

Also, this story came from the Athens city paper, not the student paper.

 

The Messenger is the local paper. The Post is the student paper.
