Anyone see this? I heard it is far more faithful to the original than the previews lead one to believe. The 1972 version is disturbing but almost has a cartoon quality to it other than a couple sick scenes. I'm not into the Saw-esque torture porn movies but this one intrigues me.

I have a lot of problems with the original, but have to admit the previews for the remake have me curious. Looks like it could be just a parental revenge thing like "Taken," though.

The previews kind of disturbed me as it seems as this is the same guy who directed "The Hills Have Eyes I & II," which both included some pretty drastic rape, torture scenes. I'll likely see it, but probably after it comes out on DVD.

Saw the original. Laughed a lot at how awful it was, but I watched the entire thing out of curiosity. I'll prolly see the new one, too.

    Wasn't that Craven's first movie?

It got zero stars in the Daily News. First time I'd ever seen that. Have yet to see it myself.

The original had one of the greatest (or cheesiest) trailers ever:

I saw what you did there.

Actually, that'd be a good name for a bad horror movie.
