    ...floor mats.

I guess that's all the more reason to not have 'em and just let the floor pile up with crap (but not near the pedals).

Boo to AP writer Ken Thomas and his editors for this lead:
WASHINGTON – Toyota Motor Corp. said Tuesday it will recall 3.8 million vehicles in the United States, the company's largest-ever U.S. recall ...

Why is this still becoming more and more common? What is gained by adding the word 'ever'? It is either the largest U.S. recall or it is not the largest U.S. recall. If the superlative needs to be limited, then limit it: largest in a decade or largest since my dog died, etc. If it does not need to be limited, then it is the largest.

Please turn the car off when you cannot slow it down. Okay, seems simple when you're not in the heat of the problem.

Glad it does not cover our Sienna (best family car, does not look like a Ferrari but oh so functional.)
