It was the Mike Lupica show, and it was 7:00 am on the west coast. I was driving to the gym, and not really paying attention, but I know what I heard.

I checked espn radio web site, they don't seem to archive the Mike Lupica show.

The bigger story there may be that Mike Lupica was willing to speak with
a News cohort of lower status.

To him every News cohort is of lower status.

It's not as definitive as i would have liked, but it's from the horse's mouth:

Okay, I found the Zapruder film.

    Isola starts at around 29:30.

The head shot is around 30:00.

    You decide.

    This is awesome!

    Ok, I listened to it.

He but a little "tongue-in-cheek" emphasis on "a bit". But the give away is line preceding it. He was explaining to folks in New York that the Knicks aren't the "be all end all".

He thinks others are delusional, and is trying to set them straight. The Lakers are a real threat because of the LA, the weather, and the fact that they do have a history of winning.

Can't say I detect sarcasm in his tone. If he was joking, it was poorly conveyed.
