    The 4 the Vikings gave the Eagles turns into a 3 if the Vikings make the playoffs and a 2 if they make the Super Bowl.

    From what I understand, the specifications are:

    NFC Championship appearance: 3rd-rounder
    Super Bowl win: 2nd-rounder

    While my analysis is the same as @da man's, it's pretty clear the trade is worth it if the pick gets moved up.

    For the Eagles? The trade would have been worth it if it had been just a 2. They made out like bandits here. This was truly an offer they couldn't refuse.

    Took me a minute, but I get it. Yes, if the Vikes make either of those things happen, the trade will have been worth it.
