We couldn't watch the Obama Inaugural because the ContentOne feed didn't work.

If anyone is looking for an event that sums up the shallowness of today's society...

The casket comes out of the chapel, and Soledad reports, solemnly: 'Wow, he's really dead.'

So I guess now we know.

I will not watch it on TV.
I will not watch it on DVD.
I will not blog it on the net.
I will not twitter 'cause I don't do that yet.
I will not watch it here or there.
I will not watch it anywhere.
I do not like Jacko 24/7
Good thing I won't see him when I get to heaven.

My favorite moment so far was the fans interviewed outside the service who rode a bus from Greensboro, N.C. for three days and "sold everything in our house" just so they could see Michael. BTW, they didn't get a ticket.
So they're just standing on the street, and won't get to see the funeral.
I can't wrap my mind around people like this... I guess they symbolize our culture's absolute obsession with fame, but I just don't understand them. So stupid.

This stuff fascinates me and I will definitely be watching. I stupidly scheduled a meeting in a half hour and I am trying to figure out if I can keep the TV on during it.

They're estimating the audience for this will be one billion. I think it's hard to convey to younger people how famous he was, and with attention and popular culture splintered the way they are now, I'm not sure anyone will ever be that famous again.
